Just wondering if I can even hope to get oversize pills from such mold.
What I need is whooping .585" or .590

....and 8 years later I can report my 575-500-M throws bullets at .5750" with pure lead. They weigh 535 grains however.

Is the .585 to .590 the actual size of the bore? The same as my 44 Mag has a diameter of .430. If so wouldn't that make loading such a boolit very hard?
I think you would want one sized so it's a firm slip fit in the bore. This way it will load easy. The ignition and burning of the powder should upset the boolit so it fills the grooves in the rifling.
I don't shoot muzzle loaders but from what Ive read that's how it supposed to work.
