I woke up this morning, and my mom asked me if I wanted my birthday present. I said yes of course! so she went and got a bullet box, with 6.5 swede bullets and ammo. and then... we're getting to the exciting part!! then she brought in a very nice 6.5 rifle. I went out and shot it today, it shoots mighty well. at 50 yards it shoots 2 1/2 inch group 2 inch below the bullseye with 10 gn of unique with the 6.5 cruise missile... and then I tried 29gn of old H4676 with the 6.5 cruise missile. That load kicked a little harder, a bit much for shooting 20 rounds. I'm going to make up a moose load for it I'm probably going to shoot moose with it this year! and then I shot dads new 308, 2 inch group

...........So what kinda 6.5mm rifle is it? About your 10gr/Unique and 45 2-1's recomendation. In shooting the Jumptrap 1st Ed, 140gr FN, best accuracy/velocity combo with WW typical alloy was found in the 11.0gr range when using Unique.

I would go right to 11.0grs and then increase charges 2/10ths each, up to 12.0grs. If your accuracy is still fine (possible due to rifle/component differences) then load 10 rounds jumping ahead to 12.5grs all at once.

BSJ2; if dad has any Alcan AL5 setting around ,13.5 grs and the 170 gr Oldfeller @ -1500 works great. With jacketed-140 gr Rem cl- 57.0 grs WC872@2600-OAL3.175(seated to the first cann) use hot primer. This data is from a 29 in bbl.M96

My dad has been collecting parts, and finially got enough parts and pieces to make it. I do not know what it is! I just know it shoots good! 8) I'll plan on posting a picture of the rifle. I will try that unique load you suggested. By the way, this was for my 10th birthday!
