folks,

I am curious ACWW, Will it expand? or show expansion @ 2000 fps?
Or do you anneal in a toaster oven and let cool slowly so they are prone for expansion? this would bef for a ranch dog or LBT style bullet

My test showed that straight wheel weights did not expand much at 1800-2000 fps. I mix 55% lead and 45% wheel weights with a touch of tin added for fill out. Shooting thru water filled milk jugs recovered boolits showed excellent expansion and penitration [3 or 4 jugs]. I haved killed several deer with this alloy and most dropped within a few yards of where they were shot.

Pretty much my experience except I use 50/50 lead/clipon wheel weights or reclaimed bullet cores plus 1% tin.

I shoot for a BNH of 9 to 11.

( Hollow points help a lot. )
