Brass Question

I just bought a large quantity of brass from an estate and found something I have never seen before. In a box of several thousand 30/06 brass cases I have a couple of pieces that have a headstamp of "30-06" and nothing else. No marks of any kind, no headstamp except the "30-06" Anyone ever seen this before or have any idea of what the brass might be and where it came from? I'd really like to know.

I haven't seen that particular headstamp; but its not suprising, after all they have been making .30-06 practically all over the world for about 105 years. There are bound to be some strange headstamps.

Saw a few of those with no other markings about 20 years ago in Kansas, if memory serves me right they were berdan primed cases. Had to be foreign.
