military blank brass for project

Howdy folks, I have an odd request that I'm hoping someone can help me out.
My father-in-law passed and had a beautiful military funeral! He retired after 29 years of service in the air force. The flag folding and taps tear me up. Any how I have 6 of the nine pieces of blank brass they shot off at the ceremony, My plans are to shine them up and have them inscribed for my mother-in-law, and the wifes sibilings. The issue is my mother-in-law wants some brass for the grandchildren. Does anyone have some LC 308 blank brass I can purchase from them? I'm in need of 12 pieces. I know this probably should be in the wanted to buy section, but I thought it would get seen here better.

I have a funeral detail tomorrow morning at 0830. Will ask the Post Commander of our Legion if I may have 12 pcs, I know we have spent blanks in the safe. Will PM mail you when I get home but may not be till early PM.

Opps, just saw you requested .308 brass, we use Garands which of course are 30/06.

Does that create a problem?

Next best would be 308 standard spent brass, might have enough by Lake City.

That reminds me of the strangest request i had from a co-worker. His father had passed and was cremated. I loaded his ashes in 30-06 brass and each kid in the family got one.. I wouldn't have normally done such a thing but he was a vet and wanted his remains handled in this way.........
