Just got home from my yearly physical. Doc says everything is OK. She asked me if i was up to date on tetanus and I couldn't remember. So, just to be on the safe side, I got one.

Now, if I shoot myself in the foot, I won't get lock jaw. I might bleed to death, but at least I won't get lock jaw. On the other hand, however, there are those that would say that wouldn't necessarily be an entirely bad thing. [smilie=1:

Had mine on the 23rd, and like you all is supposedly OK. I think, as long as you can still pay for the visit, they give us old fa*ts, a pass. Gov says we're not generating enough tax, and might as well die off.
If everything is good, why does it hurt so much to do nothing?

Jim when you get a physical do you see a regular doctor or a paleontologist?

My doc was surprised that all my numbers are back to normal after I stopped a couple of meds. Exercise and diet and weight loss controls my diabetes, my cholesterol, and apparently my liver and thyroid as well! God is good but we have to do our part as well. She was very pleased with my progress. We ended up talking about cooking and Julia Child - she remembers seeing Julia's TV show in India as she grew up.

Good Luck Hardcast, I am going into my 6th year after colon cancer and I sometimes feel better. Not always, sometimes.

You can't get a coon hunter down, Jim. Every one I ever knew was tough as nails.

I had gastric bypass 2 years ago. I have been struggling with vitamin deficiencies ever since. I had to start giving myself B12 injections because the pills didnt work. My annualis next month, hopefully back to normal.

The surgery was the best thing I ever did.It cleared up a bunch of other health issues.

I`ve always had the sneaky feeling that that had something to do with my cancer after working pipes for 35+ years. Robert

Good to hear you got a clean bill of health Jim. I'm sure that if you shot yourself in the foot someone will ask the inevitable, what boolit, how hard, what load...:groner:

Jim can not shoot himself in the foot. No one here is allowed to shoot PB at less than 400 yards and 5000 FPS from what I have read. Jim is not that tall.

Some of his stories might be tho. :bigsmyl2:

If anyone had ever told me that I had to pay a bottle Blonde to stick her finger up my butt - there would have been an a$$ whooping (mine most likely) - the great thing of being "older" & having Female doc's - Thank Goodness INSURANCE too !

Watch out for the tetnus shots. I got one 3 weeks ago and have been sick ever since. May just be a coincidence but I found out that a vaccine for whooping cough is now added to the tetnus free of charge.
