I just got a Ruger #1 in .458 Lott. I am going to try cast bullets in it at reduced velocity. I load for a 45-70 now and have a 405 grain G.C. RCBS mold. Any one have any load info. I also plan on shooting it with .457 diam. balls for plinking and up to 500 gr. for ??? I have h322, h4895, imr4198, imr4064,unique, and bullsye Thanks, Stubert

One of the guys I shoot with is doing the same thing, so I will be watching his results. Basically, the Lott is about like the .45-110 or .45-120, so Accurate 5744 should definitely be one of the first powders to try.
