Hey guys,
It's not quite 8:00 PM and the tempature is already down to 1 degree. The weather report says that we are going down to -17 below 0. Seems a little early for us to be this cold.
I put my old horse up in the barn and my wife had me put a couple barn kittens in the heated shop.
How cold is where you guys are?

LAcaster,
I don't know what part of NM you are coming to but if you are coming up to our part of the Northeast corner bring some warm clothes. Our highs are not going to reach freezing for the next 4 or 5 days.
Good luck and safe travel, jmsj

We warmed up yesterday here in fairbanks, it is warmer than my place in NM, but we had over a week at -35.

I am out of town working, but the wife told me they expect temps well below 0 at home tonight. Not at all unusual for this time of year.

Here in Casper Wyoming it is about -2 at the moment.

Dang and here I was all ready to thump my chest with it being 10 degrees!! No worries though. I just can't wait for the snow to get here!! I am ready to strap on the skis and snow shoes. At different times of course.

-5°F last night, looks to be the same tonite. (Currently +4°F at 9:30PM)
Not surprising, tho. Historically it's been this cold earlier in the year, but this is the first below-zero weather we've had this year.

No big deal. Another log in the stove, open the air up just a bit more. It is, after all, December.

52 here now at 0027hrs. Was 58 during the day but very damp and foggy, Tomorrows high is 44 and low 32, Heck, I'm not going to complain about the weather, seems pretty mild compaired to some of the temps around.

in the days and just below freezing at night. Fog and an inversion.
Seems balmy compared to those below zero numbers I see here.
I have gotten too old to suffer being cold. I did get to enjoy forty below in South Dakota once. Don't ever have to do that again.
Looking foreward to spring and wildflowers.

All caused by global warming.

We've been at zero the last few nights.
A couple nights ago we were down to -9.

What Mooman said, concerning Ridgecrest. Pretty much normal for this time of year--50s during the day, 20s at night. Not frigid like other areas of the country, but you don't want to be out and about with just your spurs on, either. Another nice thing about California's High Desert--too cold and too much snow for a Rose Parade. :) Keep that foofahrah in Pasadena, where it belongs.
