Does any one know how much a 5 gallon bucket of WWs weights. I know, how long is a piece of string? I would like a rough estimate possible. Thanks

I do know that a five gallon plastic bucket completely full of wheel weights often weighs more than the handle will support. I've found 3/4 full to be a practical "max load" for a 5 gallon pail.

I've gotten as much as 130# of lead out of a 5 gal bucket but that was some time ago and people tend to get more zink an steel weights mixed in now adays. That doesn't mean you will but you could.

The load limit for my back is more like 1/2 bucket.:p

A five gallon steel bucket holds about 100lbs of wheel weights and will yeild about 70-80 lbs of usable lead.

I was given 11 buckets which were about 80% full on average. They yeilded about 800 lbs of ingots.

800 lbs of lead will make 22,400 250 gr boolits which is probably more than I'll be shooting anytime soon.

or 28,000 200gr boolits or 14,000 400gr boolits its alot of booolits.
