My good deal yesterday on Powder!

I buy all my gas on a Cabelas Visa credit card. When I have built up to about $20.00 of Cabelas points I go buy a couple of pounds of powder, which usually makes the cost of the two pounds about 15-16:coffee:.00 a pound after tax.

Got a Cabelas notice for their credit card holders with a $20.00 discount if you buy over 100.00. Had over 20.00 built up credit, so $40.00 plus to the good. They had reduced a lot of their powders (probably due to local competition) and I bought $119.00 of Varget, H-110, Bl-C, and H335. With points and discount, I paid 75.00 after tax, for 6 lbs making the cost per pound $12.50.

Kind of feel like the old yankee saying: "Even a blind hog occaisionaly finds an acorn".

I may have to give up my Southwest Airlines card in favor of a Cabelas card. All I get is free tickets to take my wife on vacations. I would much rather be home at the reloading bench with free powder.

I'll deny saying this if it gets back to her! :)
