Hey everyone! I picked up a CZ tactical sport a while back and plan to shoot cast out of it. I picked up a LEE 175gr mold to try, but just to get me started is anyone out there shooting one of these pistols and using cast bullets? I am wondering what size die I should get for my lubesizer as I am just getting started. To back things up a bit I picked up a Lyman 9mm 147 gr mold to make boolits for my CZ shadow and would like to report I have had good results thus far thanks to help from this board. Also I am looking for a powder that is well suited for .40 and cast boolits as well. I welcome all input. Thanks in advance!

175gr LEE TLTC is my go to boolit in that diameter. I use it in 10mm and it does just fine. I use them as cast (.401/.402") tumble lubed and dusted with motor mica. Target load is five grains of Red Dot. For warmer loads I use Power Pistol and for all out barn burners AA-9 with 200gr Jwords at around 1200fps.

I have a CZ75B SA. I use the RCBS 180 gr. flat point with an OAL of 1.140". It's accuracy is outstanding! Unique, Herco, AA5 all work great with velocities in the 900-1000 fps. range. I water drop them and size and lube with a .401 die.

Most of the CZ's I have seen are very consistent at .400 groove diameter. To be sure you should slug the bore.

I would feel safe with at a .401 die if you don't want to slug and verify.

I have an EAA Witness in 40 S&W and cast the Lyman #401638 40-175-TCBB sized .401 for it. My shooting buddy uses the same boolit in his CZ. Works well in both pistols.
