We went tonight and got the first one of the season. He was about 60 feet up a Red Oak. Jeff put the light on him and I put the cross hairs on him. One shot, right between the eyes. The coon hit the ground and Susie was on him like white on rice. The Cricket is in the game!

Sounds like a hoot.
My State government has decided that it is illegal to hunt with a light.
This also means that a lighted reticle in a scope is verboten.
Soooo we have to break the law to shoot a varmit after dark.
Done it many times but it makes me feel like a criminal. Not much though.
I really resent living in this backward State. I was born here and grew up trying to live with the stupid laws that citified lawmakers pass while having no idea of what is necessary, and fun, out in the country.
