After the case is sized, I think it is a .429 round ball can be forced into the case mouth until it is flush with the mouth of the case. When fired, the round ball elongates making a wadcutter of sorts that is round on both ends. They are actually quite accurate and can be used to plink, take small game, etc. Lee makes both a .429 and a .433 round ball mould depending on the i.d. of the case.

A .429" wouldn't have much bearing surface in contact with the case or the chamber throats and bore. I'd at least get the .433". Balls that just fit the chamber throats don't do well in cap and ball revolvers; I wouldn't expect them to in a cartridge revolver either.
