not far at all the buck was shot broad side at 140ish yards and the doe was shot hard quartering away at 120yards she went 30-40 yards and he did an 80 mph 100 yard circle almost sideways! then flop!!
best part is the feeling you get using your own bullets that you made your self! ...that is almost as good as the smile on the kids faces when I tell them we got saussage!

Nice going! I have that mold and a Marlin 512 that is on my list of projects to get going on. This has been the year for me and cast bullet deer, three down so far with bullets I poured, had done it many times with .50 and .54s, but this was first year for smaller bores.

well done my friend!...I am using 45gr of Blue Dot in a Win AA grey handicap hull with a Clay Buster WT12 wad getting around 1600fps from my Savage 210
hope this helps as a starter for you with your gun ..good luck and let us know how it shoots!

Blue Dot seems to be the powder of choice for those. I shot a few a guy cast for me with a load of Unique and accuracy was bad, my smoothbore Ithacas with factory Foster slugs shot better. I think if I play around a bit, I can get it shooting. Thanks for the tip.

+1 on the blue dot. I use 45.5 gr, yellow AA wads, and green Remington target hulls. Cast mine from ACWW. Wouldn't be scared to shoot a dinorsaur with these things.

I hear you on the dinos lol ...I will try the yellow wads to see if it changes my groups!

I use the Remington hulls because they are not a tapered hull. I found the extended rifled tube does better on accuracy the a fully rifled barrel, because it doesn't rip the pedals off of the wad as bad.

I've been shooting the lymans out of my 12ga ush for a few years now, been really pleased with them. Most of my deer have been bang flop. I also use bluedot in my loads
