A birth announcement.......

This might not be the place, but I'll give it a shot anyway......

My wife's nephew married a wonderful, remarkable girl a few years ago. Wonderful because of her sweet personality and remarkable because she has never known what it's like to walk. Injured in a car wreck as a baby, she lost the full use of both legs and has been confined to a wheel chair her entire life. Rather than feel "different", she's the only person I know that can spin broadies in a wheel chair......even after drinking. She's one of those rare, upbeat personalities that simply refuses to even think about defeat. On top of that, she's just plain cute.

They had a healthy six pound baby girl today, 11-11-11 by cesaerian, a procedure that took about an hour while she was anesthetized briefly. Mother, baby and Dad are doing fine.

Again......a remarkable girl.

The Son and his wife have a bun in the oven here (boy, 1st). Due 11-15-11.
I was hoping she'd drop on 11-11-11, but hey, long as everybody is healthy when it's time it's fine.

As a nurse told my mother when I was 2 days late for their anniversary "only when the apple is ripe should it fall from the tree".

She never forgot to remind me I was 2 days late till the day she died at age 95.

No matter when the little bundle arrives I was ALWAYS happy. Never mattered if it was a boy or girl as long as it was healthy.
