As many of you are your size/lube area is shared with your reloading area. Add to that bad lighting and tired eyes, lubing boolits is sometimes hard to see what is happening.
I was at Target and bought a LED lamp for about $5. After playing around with it, I found a position that illuminated the sizing area and not in the way.

I use one on my loading bench shining down on the third station of my Dillon so I can see the powder in the case.

I have a 500 watt halogen work lamp (http://www.google.com/products/catalog?q=500+watt+halogen+work+lamp&oe=utf-8&rls=org.mozilla:en-US:official&client=firefox-a&um=1&ie=UTF-8&tbm=shop&cid=12981436824218681750&sa=X&ei=Sz68Tu3RLuew2wXfmNy4Bw&ved=0CGcQ8wIwAQ) above my bench. I have a switched outlet in the ceiling and just rigged a clamp to put one up there. Helps middle aged eyes too!

+1 MPMARTY. Wife found them at the dollar store. "reading lamp" if I recall. Less than $2 each, and they clip on the seater stem of die in station 3 of the Dillon 550. Point it down into the cases and you can see powder at station 2 even in the 223. Nice visual for peace of mind. Mine has lasted 3K 223 loads, and when the batteries die, Ill just replace it. Batteries cost 2X the lamp.

Same with the one that I bought!

I hook a trouble light over my sizer and run a 60-75 watt old style bulb. It warms my lube and lets me see what is going on.

I too have not so good eyes and use my photography light stands to supplement the lighting in my bedroom where I do my reloading. Old 60 year old eyes ain't what they used to be. BC

I sure hope it's cold where you load. That lamp is going to to heat things up significantly.

I remember when I was working on the crew at a performing arts theater. We had a fundraising event and the little old ladies on one side of the stage were fussing about everything non-stop. Two of their complaints were that they needed more light and it was too cold.
We had 5,000 watts lights hanging from the steel and moved four of them so they would shine down on the ladies' table. It didn't take the old biddies long to start sweating.

It is about 6' above the bench. I can't tell a difference when it is on and off for heat.

I saw another post that all but eliminates "extra" lighting. Someone had suggested to take apart an old tire guage and keep the graduated center piece and throw the rest away. You can then stick the tire guage into any charged case and if all come to the same line, then you haven't double charged a case. I think I'm gonna try this as I have a guage that doesn't work--piece of ***t, cheap-o! Of course I will continue the supplemental lighting 'cause eyes aren't what they used to be. Respectfully submitted by BC.

Messy jobs are in the garage.
Clean (loading) jobs are in the house.
Never the twain shall meet.
It seems in life, i can never have enough light or enough room.
