Hey guys, I finally got my dad's beowulf situation figured out and need some help on load data. Using new starline brass, undetermined primers, 450 grain plainbase hollow points and 500 grain gas-checked hollow points. Any body got "Load Data" or some experience to get this "pig-slayer" up and gunning?

Hmm, I will be watching this one, I have not shot anything that heavy out of mine ( only been through one box of J-words) just waiting on my gas checks and I will certainly share what I find out.

Well, I did some internal capacity compairsons on the 4570 and the 50 beo. I found that the 4570 holds only 7.5 grains more water than compared to the 50 beo. Now the 4570 has lots of cast loads with the weight boolits I am planning to use, so in theory, staying with powders in the RL-7 and slower range and magnum primers, I should be able to move these 450 and 500 grainers to around 1700 fps, I THINK. Anyone with a quickload program can double check these numbers for me and possibly give me some starting grain loads?

I am eagerly awaiting a range (and pig) report on this, as I am working on getting a Mihec cramer HP 370 grain up and running in my 16" Beo and am thinking it would be a Good pig gun if I ever get around to pig hunting.
