Anyone have a pet load for this bullet in a Marlin 1894CSS? Haven't had too much success with Unique, only powder on hand. Thannks for any help with this.

My Marlin '94 is a .44 Mag, but I haven't, to date, had much success with Unique in it, either. I've had good results using 2400, Herco, and IMR4227 in various plain-base .357 loads, though...mostly in TC Contenders and an old "baby" Rolling Block (which I often regret trading away).

I use the Lee 158RFN in my 94-C in 38 special cases with 4.2grs. of Bullseye. A great plinking load in my rifle, good out to 100 yards on steel plates.........Terry

I reamed out the base taper step in my LEE 358-158-RF, it drops WW @ 163gr.
In 357 brass, my load is 14.5gr of 2400 over a small RIFLE primer.
Feeds perfectly in my 1894C, but ONLY since I got the LEE factory crimp die! Before the die, it wouldn't even begin to chamber that bullet in 357 brass.
It will shoot a ragged hole all day long at 50 yards.
I should also add......
The same boolit with 13.5gr of 2400 and a small pistol primer, in 38 spl brass, gives the same, exact POI. and likewise, 357 mag pressures.

My Gallery Rifle load is this bullet (LLA'd 50/50 mineral spirt) over 4.5grn Bullseye .357 cases.... suits my 1894 spot on....

I'm using 8.5 gr HS6 in 357 mag brass in my 686, don't have a rifle for it. Load is great in the pistol.
