I pulled some .357 boolits that I didn't like and am now going to load them with a 158 RNFP and using H-110 at the high end. Here is the question: The boolits that were pulled had Carnuba Red for lube. I wiped the area of the case that they were in but there is still a slight (can't see it) trace of the lube left. When I seat the new boolit in this case there is little friction. I resized the case but not all the way so I can save the magnum primer. The area the boolit sits is resized. Would the left over lube eliminate the case tension? And would that cause a problem? I am using a heavy crimp on this round.

Can you unscrew the decapping pin from the die?

Load it and shoot.

Me too.

Don't worry about the lube in the case. If it were not there, you would introduce new lube into the clean case when you seat the replacement bullet.

PS: I have done this myself a few times. with .38 special and .357 Mag.
