It's darn cold here on the west coast. I think we're in for it this year. I don't even have my firewood in yet ...

Isn't that the truth. It is currently 8 degrees here in Pickle Meadows.

28° F this morning at 7:15 AM in SLC. Cold front is moving on though. The 10 day doesn't show any more nights below freezing.

Kid goes to CU/Boulder and texted that they had 15" of snow on the ground at around 11AM and still snowing.

They have a friend at UNC/Greely and UNC had classes cancelled (snow day) because of all the snow. First snow day they ever had in school!! Never had a snow day all thru high school, even with 8" of snow on the ground.

1 1/2 inch of rain on this side of the panhandle. You can keep the snow over there. Amarillo College still had classes, son said he was late, but so was everyone else.

And here in the frozen north country of minneysoda..... sunny and 50 for today!

Sorry, I couldn't resist.

(earlier this week I ordered a new snowblower - I am expecting plenty of the white stuff in the days ahead too!)

I do not clean my drive as the Lord givith and the Lord tacketh away, my son baught a snow blower years ago set in the garage for 6 or 7 years never used it, not enough snow to fool with here. The snow isn't sticking to the roads as it was near 90 day before yesterday.

Freightman, we're just now getting a little cool north breeze, I can't believe there's that much snow on the ground up there already! It'll be back in the 80s in a couple of days I'm sure. Gotta love Texas weather. It was 74 at 6:15 this morning in the Hill Country, now about 63.

The Lord giveth here as well, but he seems to get sidetracked for a bit before he comes back and taketh away.....

Once we get the base going, it usually only accumulates until March when it mostly disappears. In the mean time you usually need to do some rearranging in order to get out and about!

I have issued a proclamation that no snow will be allowed to fall in Montana, under 4000 feet this year. So it will have to go elsewhere. There is still 8' of last years snow in some shaded canyons. Wait until you see next springs floods!

Glad to see that. I am on a lease down in Claude about 30 minutes from you, hopefully they got some too. Your area needed it bad.

We got an inch here.

NO WAY!

I have it on good authority (Al Gore) that the climate is steadily warming and there is no
way it can snow in Texas in October. Must be some sort of a mass psychosis. Ignore these
reports, tune into Al Gore's TV channel and get the truth!

(sarcasm off)

Good luck, we had this a couple of years ago and with the leaves still on the trees, they
got broken down a lot, lots of power outages.

Wound up with 2" rain total today. That's 5 1/4 for the month. Much more than the previous 12 months combined.[smilie=w:

I agree with that, Dale, I'll take moisture any way it comes at this point, we've had just over three and a half inches of rain for the year at my house. The cedar trees are dying like flies from the drought, that has NEVER happened before.

You've undergone a GLOBAL WARMING ATTACK. DO NOT PANIC. .gov will fix everything, just you wait.

Shhhhhh! Didn't you know? The Religion of Global Warming is now the Universal Church of Climate Change....;-)

Those freekin' Carbon Credit wha hoo's would call the "unseasonable" snow fall as further proof of their agenda. The hole darn house of cards was blown over with the release of the fudged math and e-mails stating that the facts didn't mate with their "science." TMK the ONLY place that reported this was Fox, who incidently just reported 6-12" inbound to New England.

I'll be dipped if we didn't wake up to the scene Freightman posted yesterday. Started snowing last night about 7:00 ish and continued to about 10:30. We ended up with about 3/4" inch of heavy wet snow. Everything was snow covered this morning but was pretty much gone by about 2:30. Way too early for this...Ray

Had to shovel, sweep and 4X4 thru more "global warming" in the past few years here in N TX than we've had in decades. Up until several days ago the only significant precip we've had this year was frozen.

How nice!!!

Started snowing here in southcentral Pa. about 8:00AM this morning...the ground is now covered and there is a good 1/2" on my rear deck. The forecast is for up to 6-10" of snow by this evening.

Global warming my a$$...

Gun show in York, Pa this weekend...guess we'll go over there and check it out. I don't have much interest in hunting small game in this kind of weather...getting too old to chase pheasants in the snow...
