Is anyone familiar with Kester K100 Solder Chips that are 99.3% Tin and 0.7% Copper? There is a guy selling some for use in cast bullets as a tin substitue. Just wondering is anyone has ever used this product before and what it is worth per lb.? I'm looking at using it to alloy with about 1000lbs or wheel weights I've got sitting in the garage weighting to be cleaned, melted down, and cast into ingots. I figure that the copper will end up as a trace element in the new alloy and shouldn't have any detrimental effect on my final product. What do you guys think? Is it worth bothering with? Any input would be appreciated!:)

I'm not familiar with this solder, but .7% copper should not be a problem in the dilution you will be using. Pure tin is selling for $7.50 per pound at Midway.
