interest in 247gr .311 300BLK boolits?

i have contacted a local OK bullet casting co. aboot the 247gr NOE mould. they said they would do it if i could get a min order of 10k. $85/1k.

i want to play with this boolit, but dont have all the groundwork laid for casting yet.

if folks are interested, i think i would be down for 1k, so that leaves 9k. if people wanna split half orders, that may be possible as well.

i am new here, so if a more "reputable" member wants to handle all the cash etc, thats fine.

also, if anyone else wants to contact their casters, and see if a better price is possible, thats a good idea too.

i havent discussed with them yet whether they would be the GC version or not, so those details will need to be ironed out as well.

feel free to link this around the interwebzs as well. might be able to get a better price if we order more than the min.... i know there has been lots of interest in this boolit, but like i said, some of us arent set up for casting.

I'd say try casting. It's addicting. But I won't knock anyone trying to beat $45/100 for bullets and supporting the local firearms industry at the same time.

Have you tried getting someone one this site to make a batch for you. It would probably be cheaper if you went this route vs trying to get a group buy for 10k bullets. I'm sure their is someone here that would do that for you.

well, i am sure someone would do it, but its not LEGAL right? i am usually not "that" guy that asks strangers to do something not per regs. now friends, thats a diff story!

and house, ya i plan to cast in the future, but until then....

i figure, with 36 pages on the noe mould thread, their has to be 9 other folks out there that arent set up that want the bullet

If I can get these WITH a gas check I will get 2K of them. (if the additional cost is not to much.)

If not I will try 1K

I shoot 247 gr cast bullets out of my 357 MAXIMUM subsonic and get a LOT of leading in my blast baffle.. But if using the gas check version I get almost none. I have yet had a gas check cause any problems or fall off.

If you think just because they are subsonic leading will be zero.. I would try shooting 100 of both before you make up your mind and decide if gas check is a good thing or not.

If the cost is right I will get them .. It also lets you step them up to over supersonic speeds w/o leading. More flexibility.

I am in on this deal regardless .. But if, for an added cost, I CAN get them with gas checks I would prefer them...

alright, jkbulletcasters has gotten back to me. they said that they werent going to be of the GC'd variety, but i have emailed them the links to these two threads (here and 300blktalk) so they can see what people are saying and wanting....

and as far as shipping to dallas, we should be able to do the math on 247 gr mult by 1k or whateverm, get the poundage , and go from there, ya? ready, set, CALCULATE!

we are sittin at aboot five or six thousand spoken for.

J&k says that shipping should be cheapest with the usps. And that is in flat rate boxes. J&k says should be $12 per per thousand. 24 for 2000. That's shipped to anywhere in the country.
