Sounds like you need to run the boolit deeper into the sizer die.

Assuming a 45, 450 or 4500 lubrasizer(?); screw the I die stop up so the bullet barely starts in the H die. Screw the stop down 2 turns at a time test to see if the grooves fill after each adjustment. Some where in there both grooves will fill and the crimp won't. If the bullet is pushed in to where the punch stops on the H die retaining nut then something else is afoot. Try the suggest and advise on results.

BTW; Waco was trying to help. You'd be surprised at how many don't see the obvious and ask such questions as yours. We have no idea of your experience at casting, sizing or using your equipment. You asked a question so please consider all answers as trying to help, even if they don't appear that way, ok?

i'd just shoot them with the one groove. unless you are using a 24" bbl and pushing them 1600 fps.
i have used some boolits with miniscule single lube grooves that have done well at target+ velocities.

I'm with runfiverun.

I use the smallest amount of lube I can for pretty much all my boolits, but especially my "big and slow" handgun caliber bullets, and most definitely for my wadcutters.

Too much lube can do bad things to your accuracy, believe it or not.
