I was at a gun show this past week end and ran across several muzzle loaders.
I had hoped to buy one of them but can not find the money, so, I thought I share my find with you all here.

The first was a T/C Hawkins Silver anniversary model 50 caliber, new in box at the site below. Gun show price was $350.00

Second was a 54 cal. T/C Renegade with peep sights. Nice Shape. Gun show price was $300.00

Last and least was another 54 cal. T/C Renegade in poor shape ( barrel rusted inside and out. ) but a fixer-upper for $160.00

That's how I ended up with mine, interesting story, it wasn't rust just old bore butter. ;-)

nice i have 4 mule ears. .36 and two fiftys. what calibers are those thinks bill:smile:

.36 and .45. The .36 is serial # 0001 and the .45 is serial # 0002. I had never seen the internals of a mule ear before. WOW, they are simple. Kind of a thinkin' man's underhammer; dead simple, the parts are better protected, and the cap should be somewhat less prone to fall off.
