I will be running the GB and we well be using Night Owl Enterprise (NOE) to make the moulds.

This will be for an aluminium mould.

A minimum of 5 orders for moulds is required to waive the tooling cost and be placed on the production schedule. This is a small group buy based on a 225107 that NOE has already produced.

Post your order on this thread. I will keep the post below this updated with the orders. When the 5th order has been placed (doesn't have to be paid for) we will then be put on NOE's production schedule.

You may order any number of cavities available. You will just need to pay the appropriate price.

1 cavity moulds are $68 ea.
2 cavity moulds are $72 ea.
3 cavity moulds are $79 ea.
4 cavity moulds are $85 ea.
5 cavity moulds are $92 ea.

The hollow point option for one cavity will be the standard $35.
Blank Hollow point pins will be an extra $1.50 each.

RG's not available

10C option is now available $160
Plain base and GC options are available.
You may mix and match PB and GC in the same mould.
Shipping to you with insurance will be $10

A Lyman, RCBS type top punch is included along with a sample of Bull Plate sprue lube.

The buy will remain open until one month prior to production. ONE MONTH PRIOR TO PRODUCTION I WILL CALL FOR PAYMENT. You do not need to pay prior to this, but you can if you want.

NOE will ship them all to me and I’ll test cast with a few of them and then if all is well, send out the moulds.

If you want more than 2,000 GC's you will have to add $4 more to the shipping cost.

I have shot the NOE copy of the Lyman 107 design from a 221 FB rifle at 3650 fps wit Z E R O leading and a clean shiney bore. That was max pressure for the cartridge with any boolit/bullet. Accuracy was 2.5 to 3 moa but may be due as much to alloy strength as anything else.
Oh BTW that would have been quenched WW and Lotak lube.

Just out of curiosity, the last time this profile got run, Swede offered it in a 10 cavity as he often does because of the leetle beety holes the .22's make in those big 5 cavity blocks. No go on this go round??

hamish, fixed, thanks for the catch, I bungled it.

hmm, I think that he lost his machining ability to make the sprue plates 'backwards' for the "bottom" of the 10C moulds. This allows BOTH sprue plates to swing the same way when opening, much easier and less likely to get burned while cutting sprue and dumping boolits. so he has temp dropped the 8 and 10 C moulds. I'm sure they will be back, and of course this is my best guess as to why.

Heh... I'm already up to 4.5 Regular correction, and that is now causing me troubles with the progressives, as they are so narrow.

With all the changes that have taken place the last month or two
I need to make some changes to this buy.
Two different length bullets in one block is not going to work with my programing.
So we can either cut a gas check (GC) in one block and a plain base (PB) in another,
one or the other in a block.
Or change the length of the PB bullet and increase the weight to something like 38Gr.

My vote, if we are voting, Is to change the length of the PB so they are the same length and we can have them both in the same block.

But again I'll go with whatever is decided and adjust accordingly

It should hold the heat just fine so long as you keep up a good casting tempo and dont let it cool off too much between pours - here is a 40 grain 22lr mould I use for making up black powder 22 loads. It casts just fine, but I also run the pot a little hotter than I do for the big stuff...
