I got a mold from a wonderful gentleman here on cast boolits about two months ago. Have not had time to shoot since. I've reloaded for a while and when I do a new load I never go over about 10 rnds. Made 50 rnds of a load one time when I first started reloading and wound up pulling 46 of them. No fun.

Couldn't stop myself from making ammo since I couldn't shoot and wound up with almost 300 .45 cal RN. I left some of them in .452 and loaded them in .45C and resized the rest to .451 and loaded them as .45acp.

Used a Lee .452-230-2R and made some beautiful boolits. I was dumbfounded at the accuracy in 45C and acp. Just a joy to shoot. Neither gun leaded either. The 45C had a lot of black soot but no lead build up.

Now off to find more lead!

Thrilling when they work right isn't it? Somewhere I made a post on here about 200 rounds with no leading when I got some cast .357s working right.

Stellar accuracy and a MV of 1010 out of my 2.5" S&W 66. I couldn't be happier.

I was thrilled when my reloads were more accurate than factory, now my own casts are more accurate than store bought plated bullets.

I guess there's just a huge difference when you make a cartridge for your specific gun and make them all the exact same. Fun too.
