A shooting buddy wants to try shooting some of these out of his 35 Remington. He's thinking gopher plinkers. Cat plinkers in Carpetman's case. I got busy and cranked out a couple hundred for him. It's a mould I've had for some time, but never bothered to try it. I don't have a 9mm but I do shoot the regular version, the Lyman 356402 in my S&W model 10 on occasion. Any of you guys ever try something this light in your 35 rifles for plinking? Out of wheel weights the boolits are .359 and weigh 116gr. In the front of the picture is one cast without the pin in the mould to show how big the cavity really is....Geo

No I haven't George. I have gone down to 158 gr and notice a big change in impact in going even from 180 to 158. I normally shoot 220gr in the 356 and this is a big change in scope adjustments. It sure looks like it would send up a red mist if you hit something but IME it would take 20 rds for a sight in. Gianni.

Haven't shot any in the rifle calibers but the 356402HP shoots well in my 9mm HP./beagle

Don,

The Mould is an original ideal. The pin was just lose enough to let some of the melt work up along the pin and leave a bit of flash. I touched a little bullet lube around the pin with a knife blade and it took care of that problem.
