Lost my friend and Fire Chief today.

He was riding his motorcycle to work like he always does. A deer jumped out of the ditch and he hit it. His son and Son in law were the first EMS folks on scene. We are a small town and a smaller department. Lindsey was an unassuming volunteer with a big heart. He lost his battle at the trauma center tonight at 9 PM. I have to somehow pick up the pieces over the next few days and get everyone healthy. Please say a prayer for his family and for the strength to do his legacy justice. Thanks.

I rode bikes my whole adult life until I tboned a deer on the highway. I don't understand why I walked away and your friend didn't. It's important to grieve though so let it out when you need to.
