Had a small casting session yeterday, toying around with a formula, cast these 135 Lee 452-200 RF bullets, came out beautiful.
Alloy used, 50/50/soft lead and WW, 12" piece of rosin core 60/40 solder and a 6oz. ingot of zink---go figure:)
This was a 10 pound pot.

BRIGHT and SCHINNEY!
Zinc huh? I think that might explain the blinding glare.
Is it OK in your bore?
I thought Zinc was the bain of the WW casters. ???

I tried this formula once before in my 45 Witness Elite Match after 50 rounds, ran a Chore Boy patch thru the bore (dry) virtually no leading.
I water dropped these also, and use 45/45/10 lube on the first coat, and straight Alox on the final coat, tumble lubed, sized to .452.
This bullet runs great in my 45's:)

Zinc???? Did I understand you intentionally added zinc? So does this mean you cast at 800 + degrees as well?

Liz, I ran the pot to 820 degress, then backed down to 690, fluctuated with candle wax, after taking off a little dross--the mix was awesome, mixed with my redwood mixing stick--- I mean it was like pouring with pure silver:)
