Item of curiosity, what are the heaviest and lightest boolits all y'all cast regularly ? I have a mould for my cannon balls that throws and 8,000 grain round ball, but at well over a pound of lead, I cast very few. My heaviest that I cast in any real quantity are 460 grain 44 calibers, and my lightest are 92 grain 30 cal plinkers.

Heavist would be 200g 44s and 45s, lightest is the 105g 38 SWC.
Currently casting 170g 30 cal for 06.

Well....nothing like a contrast, I suppose. My Hoch .50BMG mould casts at 888 grains in wheelweights, and my new RCBS .22 mould runs bullets at 54 grains in the same alloy.

I think it's safe to say that these will be my extremes for the foreseeable future...

Mine are 175gr for .30 cal and currently 300gr for .45-70 and those are going to be upped to full ouncers for it as soon as I spring for a mould. Still looking but Accurate moulds look pretty nice and he is very flexible on design.

Heaviest is 420 gr. for the .475 L. and lightest is 105 gr for .38/9mm. Haven't really gotten into extremes for rifles yet.

Interesting, never thought of difference in weights like this.

44 Gr. in 22.
525 Gr. for 12 gauge slug.

Might also be interesting to start a new thread (so as to not hijack this one) of lightest to heaviest by caliber. As an example, I have 200 gr molds for 44 up to 320 gr. With members here casting just about every known caliber the extremes by caliber could be interesting.

340gr for my 45-70, but used to cast 525gr for my 45-120. The 115gr 9mm is currently the smallest but used to do 90gr 380.

Cool idea, Rick. Go for it. I'll add once you have it up.

Where ever did you get a mould for a .20 cal pellet ? I want one. Its getting near impossible to find pellets for my Beeman .20 cal pellet rifle.

I really have nothing of interest to add, but I'll put in my extremes.

Lightest is a 52 grain .330 RB for my .30 caliber rifles and the heaviest is a 500 grain round nose Rapine design for my bolt action .45-70.

My lightest to date is a 130gr 38cal. boolit and the heaviest is a 255gr 45LC boolit. But both of those numbers are going to change, as I'm in a group buy for a 115gr 30cal. boolit, and I just bought a used Mihec 45-503 mould that casts a 290gr boolit!
