:groner:I accidentally opened the handles while casting and now I have lead all in the air vents of my Mihec H&G #68 .452 mould. Good thing it was my first mould and have another Mihec #68 .454 on the side that just arrived. Has anyone had this problem before or maybe know of a way to clean out the lead from the the vent lines or anywhere on the mould for that matter. I'm tempted to drop the mould in with my molten lead to see what that does but thought I'd ask around first hah!

Heat the mould blocks up to where the lead is liquid and wipe the vent lines with a cotton cloth.

Take a propane torch and heat it up till the lead runs out.
