I currently have a old Lee Magnum bottom feed pot that I have been using to cast 465-475gr connicals for my ML.

However, the weights of the bullets don't always come out weight approximately the same weight give or take a couple of grains.

My question is would I obtain better consistancy in weight, if I poured the lead in with a ladel?

Probably, in most cases, maybe, usually, but not always.

Welcome to the forum, you have found the best place answers to all of your casting questions.
To answer you question, i my experience no, but I am a bottom pour guy and I can't see the point of introducing another step between your pot and your mold, i.e. the ladle. Just something that allows your lead to cool off before it gets into the mold. I have experimented with a ladle in the past and I just don't see any benefit to it. JMHO and of course there will be opposing views. Bottom pouring gives me the best results, in weight consistency, fill out, appearance and speed.
