In my favorite gun shop this am and they had a Bakila(spelling?) side by side 45-70.Neat looking rifle to say the least.
Anyway it had two presure limits on the side of one barrel and neither the store owner or myself has a clue what there numbers mean.
One was 2200 BAR and the other 31000 HST.
Anyone got a clue?

One Bar is one atmosphere pressure or 100kPa - or 14psi, so the 31000 would be psi. 2200 Bar = 31000 psi (more or less - 31908psi actually).

A bar is 14.5 psi, so the reported 31,908 psi is correct. I have no idea about HST, though.
