when I was buying from a caster here locally as couldn't keep them from leading my bore. Then I bought a set up and started hanging here and cast my own, the leading stoped and accuracy went up. Amazing what happens when things are right.
Went to the range the other day with my 357's and my 1911 9mm didn't size the boolits just lubed with LLA I do believe it cleaned my barrel of all things.
Thanks to the great advise I found at this site.

I did the same thing only quit due to a mould that had an undersized nose & not knowing how to make things fit and which powder etc. Learned most of what works good right here and on old shooters.com. Glad we made that transition years ago now.

I had the exact same thing happen to me. When I began to check the store bought bullets they were inconsistent in size and weight. I also use a soft lube which cuts down on leading.

If anyone is looking for a real good reason for casting their own, just look up prices online for cast boolits.

Which is exactly why I started doing it over 20 years ago.

Yeah, Murph, I'm saving heaps! It's a shame about the thousands of dollars of must haves that went with it, still it's so much fun, I can't imagine doing it any other way. Mick.
