test medium

thought of using oat meal and pork chop bones in 1 gallon ziplock bags set in a trough as test medium for testing alloys for hp boolits. I figure it will be messy but also would be about as close as I could get to flesh and bone. I've used wet newsprint and wet phone books but they seem a little too consistent when compared to a deers anatomy of muscle bone void. Has anyone tried this method. I'm sure what I've already shot a few deer with will work but I do so like to play.:bigsmyl2:

You need a LOT of oatmeal! :mrgreen:
Depends on the gun. I shot into a line of gallon jugs of water with my .475, it blew 4 sky high, split 2 more bad and exited from number 14. This thing penetrated 37" of wet phone books.
Even the .44 with the 265 gr RD went 33".
