For you guys that have seen, handled, fired these two guns: The Winchester Legacy in .44 Magnum and the Legacy Puma in .454 Casull. I've never had a chance to look at either gun. Which would you recommend and why? The Winchester doesn't come in .454 so I'd buy it in .44 Mag because I'm well fixed in reloading stuff for it. I'd have to buy the Puma in .454 just to drive it around the block to see what it has.

You're going to find out that the 454 is going to be the one doing the driving.

If this means anything to ya. Imagine a 45-70 with that bullet weight, traveling at that velocity, caused by higher pressure escaping gases in a slightly lighter rifle.
