This e mail was forwarded by our gun club webmaster. I mentioned it to Felix, who suggested it should be posted.

“May want to put this out. There are fake Leopold scopes showing up. They have a 4 to 5 digit serial number followed by alpha characters. The real ones will have a serial number that as 2-4 alpha characters followed by digits.”

Those are the pricey scopes too! Bet there are some p***** off buyers out there.

Thse have been floating around for a few years. Not only them. Eotech, LaRue, Aimpoint.

These are just a few. Most of this started when the airsoft started to take off. You can get a clone of just about anything.
