Having a bit of fun... Have the garage door full open, and the back door of the garage open too. It's 35 degrees here in the garage!!! There is quite a breeze flowing thru here!

I have been having trouble getting these buckets of Wheel Weights to thaw... I finally dumped them, but I still have chunks of ice.

Put one of the large ice blocks of wheel weights in the dry pot and put the heat on low... The water is boiling off.

Here is the stuff I use in my muffin tins. I love this stuff!

Obviously you know the danger of moisture intoduced into molten lead.....

Try some cast iron muffin pans, then you wouldn't need any mould release.

Thanks for the tip on the cast iron cups... When I wear out and bend up these cheapies, I'll look into that. Yes, folks -- WATER AND LEAD IS DANGEROUS! I only am doing this from a dry pot. I don't want water anywhere near the pot once I have some molten lead in it!

Be careful out there! I got the first "ice cube" melted and transformed -- turned out great! 2nd cube is going, and while I've been waiting, I've picked MOST of the trash from the pile...
