I have a 454 casull is there any surplus powder that would be a good choice for this calliber?

I also have some old data powder#9 is this the same as accurate #9?

Also what is a good choice for a 270 Win?

Thanks for any response!

I've seen references online to using WC680 in the .454 Casull.

Yes to what Ricochet says, for both condoms and lead. For condoms in the 270, using 130s and lighter, use either one of the 4350s. For heavier, use any of the 4831s. A fast version of WC852 would be close to 4350, a slow version close to 4831. Today, these WC powders would be hard to find. So, use AA's DATA85 to get right in the middle of 4350 and 4831. DATA86 will be tried out by Sundog and me soon, but it will be slightly slower than all the 4831s. If using 130 grainers, it is hard to beat 55 grains of 4350 if you don't want to mess with "surplus" powders. ... felix

I've burned a lot of WC820 in my .454's. My lots are about the same burn rate as AAC #9.
