I've only been casting for a couple of years so every session is new and exciting, hope it remains that way for some time! Broke in a couple of new moulds today on one of the hottest days of the year. First was my first HP mould, the 330 gr 45 cal Gould boolit by Lyman. Other new mould was also a 45 but was totally different as well, a six cavity Lee Commercial TL452 200 gr swc boolit.
Both did quite well once I figured what they liked and soon I had a pile of shiny (OK, a bit frosty) boolits.
Had a little excitement when the lighter that I used to smoke my moulds exploded, :shock: according to the warning label it doesn't like temps over 120 and even though it was "only" 102 in the shade @ the time it was a bit warmer out in the sun.
Thought for sure I'd been visited by the tinsel fairy until pieces of lighter started landing around me.
