What do you think this is? It's in Elk country but looks like a goat? Never seen them before up there. This is the best pic so far.

Looks like a big cat to me. Hard to tell from this angle and I'm presuming this is Colorado.
Heck, looking at it while squinting it could be a donkey.

Looks like a horse to me. It's grazing, facing away from the camera. Look at the withers and the gaskin muscles in the rump. If the scrub is that blue sage, that would make it a small one though.

I wondered if it was a horse or donkey? looks like he is facing the camera, mane upper right side. It's public land with cattle here and there but never saw a horse up there.

Would have to be a pretty small horse or donkey if it is one, also the hair looks pretty long for this time of year. I think it might be a goat, but that’s just my guess.

The picture quality is not great, but it looks to me as though the hair is laying in a direction away from us, making its head at the end closest to the camera.

I was thinking cougar facing away head down. Looks like spots on the inside of his leg. I guess goats could have spots too.

Between my bungee mount and the squirrels messing with it yes it's not the best. The other pictures were all leggs. One had a round ear in it. That may give credence to the cat idea. let me see if I can get it up.

SWMBO thinks its a cow facing away. Look just to his left and it looks like an eye and an ear. Also looks like a slender tail on the end closest to the camera.

I still think its cat.

Yea, it's nothing shootable anyways. Will see if he shows up again. Saw a nice bull elk and a few cows there the other day so I put the camera out.

Don't know what one is doing up there? Hope to get back this weekend and confirm it. Elk or deer would be nice too.

Burro, used to hunt them on the Big Island, not bad eating.

If it's not native I guess I can shoot it and not need a tag then. Especially if they taste good. Don't think I would really do that though

The second photo has looks like a round ear and head facing <---- left. If that is not an ear, what the heck could it be? It looks like a bears ear to me. The legs in the second and third photo do not appear to thin enough to belong to a horse or burro. I thought the first photo was of a horse.

So, you must have pics of the legendary scraggly burro with the head and legs of a bear critter of lore.

You always get a few "what the heckizit's" with a trail cam around here too.

At first glance it says cow to me. Small cow or large calf.

I have been wanting to post that for days! The bigfoot will mimic a cow or deer to catch them. Plus sometimes they will drain the blood and just eat one organ. This way ET gets the blame.

I might just be getting too tired from working all night but it kinda looks like a bear to me.

Headed down there now to check cameras. If it's big foot and I see him you will see me on the news tonight.

Could it be a smaller elk? What kind of camera do you have? Is this a night pic?
