Hi I am new to this forum and casting. I just ordered a mould from LBT for a 340 grn LFN in .455 diameter. I will be shooting a Ruger SuperRedhawk in 454 Casull. Does anyone have any loading data for this bullet that they could share?

I don't have that mould, but use two others that are in the ballpark. Both of mine are gas checked designs, and weigh 325 to 335 grains. My RSRH has a .452" bore and throats, you will need to determine those measurements before buying a sizing die.

I'd suggest you start around 24 grs. of Hodgdon Lil'Gun, H-110, or WW 296 and work upwards to your desired power level and/or recoil tolerance. I use CCI 400 or 450 primers with these.

All disclaimers apply......BE CAREFUL working up loads with this high intensity cartridge!

I like Alliant Bluedot for midrange loads of around 1200 to 1300 fps with the same boolits.

Yea I forgot to say the my mould is for a gas checked bullet as well.

My throat's measured .45475:-? Anyhow I contacted Veral and he suggested a .455 bullet and said to size to .454. He said with good hard bullets that springback shouild be in the neighborhood of .45455 .

What kind of accuracy do you get from your SRH?:Fire:
