Herters 44 caliper pistol jackets?????

I just came across a bunch of these! Are they good for anything?

I believe all the herters 44's are jsp with a copper jacket. If its just the jacket take them to the scrapyard they are worth a couple bucks a pound. If they are fired bullets melt the lead out then take them to the scrapyard.

They are virtually unobainable and there are dozens of guys on the swageing forum that would LOVE to buy them

I shot thousands of those. I had the C-H swage tool and used pure lead wire to make all kinds of bullets. The soft hollow points shot good and blew away a lot of woodchucks. I would not hunt deer with them but they were real fun.
Don't scrap them, someone will want them. You have some jewels there. :bigsmyl2:
