First Cast Boolits made all by myself

First of all I need to thank Swede Nelson from Night owl (NOE) Bullet Molds for letting me come over and showing me the ropes. He even sent me home with 65 bullets to load up and make sure my gun would eat them before he sold me one of his H&G 130 196gr 45acp molds.

Well they did, so I went back and got a 4 cavity and one of his digital thermometers. Both of which I highly recommend. I cleaned the mold with a tooth brush, smoked it with a bic, and started casting. After 8 drops the mold was up to temp and popping out beauties. It seemed like the mold likes to run right around 400 degrees. After and hour or so of messing around I ended up with these...feast your eyes:happy dance::happy dance:

Very good! Now you are hooked deep and will be getting all sorts of stuff for casting, loading smelting................. it goes on and on and is worth every last penny you spend. Great hobby you've gotten into............ now you need to keep finding lead.

PS - whenever I get home after a stressful day at work I escape to my workshop, fire up the smelter and cast boolits. The therapy costs very little and works much better than any shrink ever will.
