Had two hard back cabales catalogs about 1.5 inch. with the cardboard mailing cover. Put six Bufflalo boar 32 acp 75 grains in one and six Federal hydra shok65 grain in the other . both about 1 inch pentration. Federal hyda shok almost flat , bufflalo bore some expansion on a solid bullet. For a boot gun both bullets about the same. Snub nose 357 ruger SP101 better choice if can carry.

Which is proving what exactly? Shooting dry paper is hard on any bullet but proves little as to penetration or expansion. It only shows you could use a Canela's catalog in a backpack for body armor.:bigsmyl2:

I was wondering what to do with them. Just finished a PID controller for my lead pot and need a new project.

sure your criticism correct, however it proved that a so called hot commerical 32 acp wil not go thru a cabales catalog. Simple test to compare one against the other. Should have tried a 9MM. When get another will compare.

Not critisizm at all, just trying to understand what you are looking to learn. Some think a bullets ability to penetrate certain objects is valid in determining that same bullets effectiveness on live tissue & it just has no correlation. Wood, dry paper, dirt, steel, none of it will tell you what a bullet will do when shooting at live tissue.
