Fellow member Malcom was needing some 340 gr. cast for his 45-70 so I hunted up 50 or so that I had cast and lubed, then found about 30 more to add to the pile. He reported that he had a problem with some of the rounds bulging the brass. This puzzled me as I knew they had all been sized and lubed by me, so I was thinking the problem had to be in the brass or sizer, Not! He checked the diameter and found some measured .476+. I had added 30 or so 400 gr. boolits that fit my 480 Ruger much better than the 45-70. DUH! They look a lot alike except for the extra lube groove. I'm going to have to label containers better. I'm really surprised he could squeeze them into the brass at all.:groner:
