I got a RCBS and Lymen lube sizers.
Right now (being new) I'm rolling with
the RCBS....but not the #2.
Would the top punch and dies for #2
fit #1 ?

I got them from a garage sale and they
will need some parts and a good cleaning.
I would think I could get parts from RCBS...?
But what would clean old wax off?

Thanx for any help.

Heat the wax with a propane torch on low or a blow dryer.

Have fun...

Yes, the "new" punches will fit the older machine.

Good luck!

Disassemble it -- as far as you can with the lube still in it -- and boil it for about 15 minutes. Remove from the heat and allow the old lube to harden, which might take a few hours, then it can be pulled off (save for future use?) and then you can remove the components.

Use a dedicated, non-cooking utensil.

I do the same as 462 but I pour off the lube when all is melted and floating on top then
I can remove the lubesizer from the water blow it of with compressed air and let the heat dry it out.

Calamity Jake ,
Never thought to pour off the water...a better idea. Why wait for the lube to harden when you could be working on the lubrisizer?

Thanx folks...I got it all taken apart and cleaned.
I used dentel picks and gun scruber.
And in some places a torch.

When I cleaned the dye wouldent you know....
it was for the .45 230 gr. Round nose...
Just what I needed!!!
