Anyone use the Lee 150 gr. fp for white tail deer in the East?? I am curious as to expansion. I was thinking on using it for coyoties and rockchucks in Utah. thanks, greg

Sorry, in a 30-30 or a 30-06. I just use it for plinking, but am impressed with it's accuracy in the 30-30. I may shoot some varments with it but not big game. greg

i just got the lee 309 150FT and over 18grn of 2400 it is a nice little hot round!(in30-06)

I've used it thru a TC Contender 30-30 to kill a few crop raiding deer in Md. It also worked in a 308 pistol. My alloy is close to Lyman #2 and I always use a Gas check when the design calls for one. I have collected only a few cast bullets shot at deer. Most go clear thru and are lost. On quartering to shots ,the bullet goes on into the opposite ham, or out the far ribs. Expansion IS evident in the wound and exit hole. Even when cast from straight Wheel weight these slugs are good killers of deer sized animals.
