good day everyone:
i just finished my first reloads with cast boolits for my 1912 rem m14 in .30 rem.
i got the formula from the lee modern reloading manual.
i've made up 10 rounds.
1st five 23gr h335,165 gr fn boolit,rem 71/2 primer,rem case oal 2.525.
2nd five 25gr " " " " " " " "

these are non gas check boolits and i dont know the hardness
i used the cast 30-30 170 gr info, both of these loads should be under 1900 fps.
any input on these starting loads is greatly appreciated.

thanks again

Z

You might find that anything over 1400-1600 with out gas checks could spell trouble.

If I were you I'd back them down a bit more, perhaps 16gr H4895 or so.

I predict you will not be happy. Too much velocity for plain base bullets and these Remington 14s often have almost no barrel throat.
