Found a new supplier today!!!!

Following the motto "ALWAYS ASK FOR LEAD". I bought a used car today. The guy had a nice three car garage, lots of parts laying around, classic car etc... Hey got any lead? He pulls the tarp off his own balancing machine, two buckets of old lead laying there. He tells me he's a scrapper for several auto shops. He takes all their scrap, the good and the bad. AND THE LEAD!!!! He says he'll save the lead for me and sell it at the scrap price of $10 a bucket.

Never forget to ask!!!!!!

That's a major score because he's doing the gathering FOR you. In addition to paying a reasonable price, why not bring him a 12 pack of his favorite beveridge once in a while? Such things are remembered.

That's what I always say. Spread the word and you'd be surprised at some of the places you get lead from.

Same thing, saw a small tire place coming back from the range and stopped. He had a 5 gallon pail and I offered 10 bucks (thinking I would easily go to 20) and he said : 'Great". Out the door I went with 120 # of WW. He told me to come back in 60 days.

Probably go by in 30 days and bring a bucket of KFC ... it can't hurt when one needs to keep a source open and moving WW in my direction.
